This Blog is our mother's logs from her sails aboard Jofian. Our mother, Clare Holt, wrote a log every day and after her first sail to Mexico, she bought a laptop to write and save her logs. She sailed when the World Wide Web was first created, there was not as much on the Internet back then, no Wi-Fi, Internet access was very limited. I know if she were sailing today that she would be putting her logs in a Blog, so I am doing it for her. Mom’s logs to Alaska are on saillogsalaska.blogspot.com.

Tuesday, May 30, 1995 - Aruba
The wind picked up again today. Roy had wanted to go diving, but it was too windy, so he spent most of the day taking pictures of the interior of the boat and having them developed. He's going to send them to Frank with a cassette tape explaining everything.
I went to the post office with a bunch of postcards. Picked up some groceries on the way back. In the afternoon, I did a load of wash. The rest of the time, I sat around and read. Not an exciting day. Maybe tomorrow Roy will dive and I'll snorkel.
